INTRODUCTION

For nearly 30 years Nilex has been installing primary containment lining systems inside steel, concrete and wood containment structures. With over 1,100 structures lined, Nilex uses technically advanced geosynthetic materials to fabricate our Loose-Fit Tank Lining System, making it possible to install a primary containment system inside above ground storage tanks and below ground concrete structures. The loose-fit nature of the liners allows continuous monitoring to ensure containment and protection of the tank and the environment.

XR-5 reinforced geomembrane liners are the highest-strength and most chemically resistant geomembrane on the market. These high-strength geomembrane liners were developed to contain and protect against acids, oils, methane and alkalis. Across the world, XR-5 geomembrane liners are being used...

High temperature geomembranes are specially engineered HDPE geomembranes that are able to retain their mechanical and physical properties when exposed to temperatures up to 212oF. It is an innovative formulation that takes advantage of the high temperature performance of...

This latest innovation in geomembrane liner technology is the patent pending HLR (Hot Liquid Rated) Series of geomembrane liners. With its unique blend of special resins and additive package, this series of hot liquid resistant (high temperature) geomembrane liners offers the same hydrostatic...

Isoflex EIA geomembrane liners are engineered with Ethylene Interpolymer Alloy – a high performance product formulated with DuPont’s Elvaloy®/Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE). Isoflex EIA geomembranes can be used in a variety of applications, including sump liners, canals, ponds, tank farms and...

Enviroflex linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) geomembranes provide much of the same durability and resistance properties found in high density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes, but with the added benefit of increased material flexibility because it is a lower-density polymer. This gives...

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane liners are used in a wide range of containment applications. Available in smooth, textured, white, conductive and high temperature variations, this material provides excellent durability and chemical resistance properties and is reliable in exposed...

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) geomembranes are a versatile geomembrane liner material that features high flexibility, elongation and puncture properties. PVC’s flexibility allows for fabrication into large panels and folding for delivery to site which maximizes panel sizes and reduces on-site...

HYDROCHLORIC ACID LOOSE-FIT LININGS

The customer, Harber Coatings, specializes in protecting industrial parts against corrosion and abrasion. Their coating process involves the use of dip tanks that contain a solution of nickel, phosphorus, or hydrochloric acid. During a recent inspection, the tanks themselves showed signs of…
