TrapBag Flood Barrier System is a low cost, quick deploy, self-erecting, cellular barrier bag capable of completely replacing sandbags for all natural or man-made disaster defense needs.
TrapBag was initially intended as an easily installed flood barrier. Over time, the versitily of TrapBag has grown and now is also used for Coastal Protection, Mining, Flooding, Bridge Abutments and Cofferdams.
This innovative solution is rapidly deployed to provide infrastructure protection and other solutions. When installed, this proprietary system has 60% of the weight in the bottom half of the connected pentagonal shaped units. The empty TrapBag system is free standing….so no filling frame required. TrapBag is offered in two standard heights of 60 cm and 120 cm (2’ or 4’) and is also available in both a single ply, or for a longer term solution, double ply. The 120 cm single ply TrapBag option comes in 15 m (50’) sections which ship with 6 sections on a pallet, providing 90m (approximately 300’) of protection.
TrapBag saves you money in everything from shipping and storage to installation and filling. TrapBags take up very little space and are easy to ship and store until you need them. Once you are ready to use the bags, they require less manpower and fill material than tradition sandbags. This design was intentional so you need less time to react to a crisis, such as a flood or mudslide, than you would with sandbags.
TrapBag has a life of at least five years, and has been proven to withstand whatever mother nature brings to bear from mudslides and floods to coastal storms and intense wave action. Whether you're looking for short-term flood protection or long-term erosion control TrapBag is a strong option that will last.
Whether you need a short barrier or a tall one, we have you covered with bags in multiple sizes that, like traditional small to large sandbags, can be stacked on top of each other to give you endless protection options. And TrapBag requires no special fill material. For temporary barriers you can use sand or gravel, or cement if you need a permanent barrier solution.
