INTRODUCTION

Organic and inorganic materials are present in all soils. These materials can produce gases or vapors. Some of these vapors may include water (H2O)volatile organic compounds (VOCs)methaneradonhydrogen sulfide (H2S)mercury and others. These vapors can rise through the soil, penetrate overlying structures and then accumulate, this is referred to as vapor intrusion. Each of these vapors may pose risks to the occupants or the structures.

Nilex has in-house crews that provide the installation of all our vapor management systems and products. In addition to the installation, Nilex can also supply the design or assist environmental engineers with a design for the vapor barrier and sub-slab venting.
