EasyGrid (geocomposite geogrids) are composite materials produced by combining an extruded geogrid with a non-woven geotextile. The geogrid is manufactured from extruded polypropylene sheets that are punched and then stretched under controlled temperature in different directions in order to reach the required material characteristics. The geogrid is then heat bonded to a non-woven geotextile.
EasyGrid provides all the benefits of reinforcement, separation and filtration in one easy to install roll which helps reduce overall construction costs due to significant labour and time savings.
The mechanical properties of EasyGrid, in conjunction with the behaviour of the soil, create an improved composite soil layer that is stiffer than unreinforced soil. EasyGrid is ideal for reinforcing subgrades of roads & railroads and industrial yards.
EasyGrid serves as a separation layer between dissimilar earth materials, allowing for integrity & functioning of both materials, so they can be improved, or remain intact.
EasyGrid also serves as a filtration layer, thus working in equilibrium with the soil to allow for adequate liquid flow with limited soil loss across the plane of the geotextiles, while avoiding pore clogging.
